Austin Skyline at Sunset (1989)

This 30″x 40″ acrylic painting was painted in 1989 from Auditorium Shores. Recording this time and the place, this painting takes on a historical perspective. Many of the buildings have changed. There are some details that date this painting are: the Sheraton Crest Inn sign was in place and MBank owned the golden tower. The trees and fauna near the lake have grown so tall in recent years that you can not even see the same details of this scene from the position it was painted from.
